PCAH Doctors
Dr. Eric Johnson, Medical Director
Dr. Johnson received his degrees in veterinary medicine and masters of science in zoology from Virginia Tech, and his bachelor degree in biology from UVa. Dr. Johnson enjoys general surgery and internal medicine. When he isn't working with animals, Dr. Johnson finds time for river kayaking, camping, music and gardening. He is married, has 4 children, 2 grandchildren, and an adopted dog and 2 cats!
Dr. Amelia Joy Cole, Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Cole joined our staff in January, 2008. Dr. Cole earned her veterinary degree from the University of Tennessee, and her practice interests include internal medicine, oncology, behavior counseling and surgery. She cares for animals of all stripes, making a home for horses, goats and chickens, as well as her dogs and cats. Dr. Cole rides and shows ponies with her daughters, and along with her husband enjoys the many art and science museums of our area!
Dr. Marta Acha, Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Acha received her veterinary degree from Va Tech. Working at PCAH part-time, Dr. Acha is also serving in the Army Reserves as a veterinary medical officer. Along with preventative medicine and general surgery, she is pursing her special interest in acupuncture therapy for dogs and cats. Dr. Acha enjoys travel and is an avid Hokie fan!
